Mr. Jae Il Lee
He has been an Information Systems Specialist and Manager for over 15 years. He was a Software Engineer at IBM Korea, Inc., from 1991 to 1996 and transferred to KISA (Korea Information Security Agency) in 1996 as senior researcher at KCAC (Korea Certification Authority Central) and promoted team manger of KCAC, Vice President in KISA later.
As an Information Security Specialist, he has extensive training/experience in the areas of Computer Network Security Technology, Information Security Policy, Privacy protection, etc.
His position is now a Vice President of KISA and Secretary General of Korea PKI Forum. He is currently in charge of KCAC, root CA of National PKI and promoting activities of electronic signature in Korea . He is also responsible for vulnerability analysis/assessment, technical support to protect Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) from electronic intrusions and ISMS Certification in KISA. ISMS is a comprehensive system that continuously manages and operates by implementing technological, managerial and physical countermeasures for stabilization of telecom network and protection of organization ’ s information assets. As a Secretary General of Korea PKI Forum, his key activities include promoting usage of electronic signature, consolidating opinions on legal system & technical guideline for PKI from member companies and reflect them on national policy, and so on.
He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Statistics from Seoul National University , Seoul , Korea , in 1986 and 1988, respectively. He is pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Computer science at Yonsei University , Seoul , Korea .
